October Flower Festival
15th & 16th October
One or two day option
Day one Saturday10.00: Meet and Greet! Cathy will introduce the course (Tea & Coffee will be served)
10.30 - 12.30: Morning session - a quick demonstration of how to create a successful flower study. Then over to you for colour fun and enjoyment 12.30: : Lunch (Bring your own picnic style or enjoy a simple rustic meal for £10*) 1.30 - 4.00: Afternoon session - Try another approach - there will be a variety of media options and you can try as many as you would fancy. Practical help is always at hand. Cathy does know how to make it simple for you, if need be! 4.00: Round up and discussion of the day's progress (Tea & Coffee served) 5.00: End of Workshop. Day two SundayIf the weather permits we may spend this day in the stunning gardens of Falconhurst House in nearby Mark Beech - in which case we will have an amended but very pleasurable programme. 10.00: Setting the goals for the day (Tea & Coffee will be served) 10.30 - 12.30: Morning session -going over any issues you may have encountered yesterday - then pick up your brushes and try another of the luscious blooms on offer! 12.30: Lunch (Bring your own picnic style or enjoy a simple rustic meal for £10*) 1.30 - 3.30: Afternoon session - Cathy will work with you to finish your work off to create a whole painting. This is a very important part of any process. 3.30: Early finish for those who need to travel home (Tea & Coffee) |
Surprisingly, October is an incredibly rich month for flowers of all varieties. On this weekend, you will be surrounded by stunningly beautiful flowers, all just begging for you to pick up your brush and flood your paper with glorious colour.
Total beginners need have no fear - you will be led safely through! More advanced students - this will be two days of very rich painting and drawing opportunities
