The idea of drawing the figure can be scary for some. Others really enjoy the experience. The idea of drawing a dancer, and a dancer who might move . . . that can be quite terrifying!
The truth is that there are approaches that can make this task far easier and very rewarding. This weekend will explore some of those approaches and off both the beginner and the veteran life artist some opportunities to produce exciting images that express the art of dance.

Day One : Saturday
10.00: Setting the goals for the day (Tea & Coffee will be served)
10.30 - 12.30: Morning Session -Finding out how to draw at speed. You will practise the techniques that enable you to focus on the vital areas in order to create maximum effect. 12.30: Lunch (Bring your own picnic style, or enjoy a simple rustic meal for £10*) 1.30 - 4.00: Afternoon Session – How to make your speedy drawings look really good! It Explore different media and see how to create mood and excitement in your drawings. 4.30: Round up and discussion of the day’s progress.(Tea & Coffee will be served) |
Day Two : Sunday

10.30 - 12.30: Morning Session – a real dancer will be in the studio to give you the thrill of working from real life. All movements will be slowed down. You will have every chance to see the pose and use what you learnt on Saturday. 12.30: Lunch (Bring your own picnic style, enjoy a simple rustic meal for £10*) 1.30 - 4.00: Afternoon Session – We will add music into the mix. The model will dance and Cathy will show you how to cope with the movement and produce lively, evocative images. 4.30: Round up and discussion of the day’s progress.(Tea & Coffee will be served) |
